Our Web Site Move is Completed!
August 29, 2007 - Cleveland, Ohio - After many months of research and planning, and even a false start along the way, the move of our web site to our new home with the ability to provide the best in streaming audio and video is complete. That new home totally in thanks to the expertise, the determination and the work necessary to make this happen is at Incipio Web Services.
Over these past many months I had worked on and talked to web hosting companies to do what I decided would provide me the ability to provide the best experience possible for my customers and visitors to my web sites. Most said sure, as long as I totally trashed my design and did it their way. Others said sure with a price tag that was astronomical. I was determined to do it the way I felt best and within my budget.
Several weeks ago I saw one of my clients web sites. I was impressed. Impressed enough to call their web design and hosting company and see what they would say when I told them what I wanted to do. That company was Incipio. Then it got interesting. I chatted with Mr. Don Reinhart and he said no, he couldn't do it the way I has suggested but he might have another idea. Don followed up with an email suggesting something even better, 10 times better than what I had proposed. The cost was almost more than my budget would allow and then came the email from Don that was an offer that I couldn't refuse. Or could I?
There is one thing I have learned about web design and web hosting companies. You get one price and then, add a feature to the web site and here comes the bill! Have a problem with your web site and here comes the bill to fix it. Kind of like lawyers. Call them and you get a bill. As much as I loved the offer from Incipio I wasn't ready to get my budget busted for charges I didn't expect.
Don Reinhart at Incipio assured me that yes, they would have to charge for some services but that they would work with me to prevent anything unexpected and no charges that were unnecessary. So now, do I trust this guy?
One thing from my exchanging ideas with Mr. Reinhart that jumped out at me. It was like he was as excited and determined to make my plan work as I was but it wasn't like he just wanted my business. It was like this was a challenge to him personally to make it work. He was determined to make this happen. To me moving my web sites was akin to getting a heart transplant. If it turns out to be the wrong thing to do you can't just take it back the next day for a refund. I have to say that I believe the saying that if it looks too good to be true it probably is. The offer from Incipio seemed almost exactly that. I tried my damnedest to find that "hook", that "gotcha" in this deal. I couldn't find it and I finally, after a couple of weeks of searching for it I gave the go ahead for the move.
Yesterday morning I got an email from Mr. Reinhart advising that my web sites were ready for testing. The snowball started. As fast as I found bugs Don fixed them. There was a couple of changes I asked for and a few minutes later I get an email that it was done. You don't move a web site without picking up some bugs. Add the changes I made and I fully expected 2, maybe 3 days to get it all worked out and everything ready to go. Well not when your working with Incipio's Don Reinhart! Suddenly yesterday afternoon, only a few hours after the testing began, I realized this was ready to go. The order was given to my domain name registry company to change my web sites to my new home at Incipio and early this morning it was complete.
I can not say enough about the service and the talents of Incipio and Don Reinhart. He truly walks the talk!
With everything now in place on our new streaming server we can proceed with the changes and upgrades we've been planning.
