12 New Contemporary Art Prints in 8 Days…
I have announced 12 new DOUGLAS Art Prints® contemporary art or modern art prints in the last 8 days and there are more to come. Some ask why, all of a sudden, this major release of new prints. The simple answer is time.
I am first a commercial photographer. DOUGLAS Art Prints® spawned from people buying my photographs to display in their home or office. This evolved into developing contemporary art prints that have a broader appeal and that others might like to display. DOUGLAS Art Prints® grew from a hobby to a second business. Creating new art prints is never far from the top of my mind. Now, instead of simply working with photos that I have done for commercial purposes I, while on assignment, look for subjects for new art prints. I now often take the time to just search for subjects for new art prints.
Over the last few months my efforts to find subjects for new prints built a stock pile of new prints. Between the time devoted to my commercial photography and in the DOUGLASArtPrints.com contemporary art web site, the sister modern art web site DOUGLASArt.com as well as my commercial photography web site DOUGLASPhotoInc.com I didn't release the new prints.
With the time off made possible by the Thanksgiving holiday and of course Christmas approaching I decided to invest the time into releasing my new prints. This has been a most inspiring experience. My commercial photography business requires creativity, which is why I got in the business. It also requires a great deal of time devoted to the business side of the business. My working with my efforts at producing contemporary art or modern art, DOUGLAS Art Prints®, is virtually all of my effort to being creative. This release of several new prints has inspired me to devote more time to the pleasure I get from simply being creative. One might expect to see a flow of new prints to come.
